Passed away suddenly at Seaforth Community Hospital on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, in her 98th year.
Left to mourn are her children, Irene Hotson (John) of St. Marys, Joyce Pepper (Cecil) of Hensall, Lorne Whittaker (Doris) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Sharon Medd (Leo) of Seaforth; daughter-in-law Nancy Vanstone (nee Whittaker) of Goderich and son-in-law John Taylor of London. Cherished grandma of 22, great-grandma of 36 and great-great-grandma of three. Also missed by her chosen daughter Donna Blanchard and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Ross; daughter Florence Taylor; grandsons Tommy Whittaker and Dan Hotson; parents John and Louisa (nee Bolton) Butters; by brothers, Raymond, Clarence, Lawrence, and by her sister Hazel Forman.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 12 noon until the time of Gladys’ memorial service to celebrate her life at 2 p.m. Reception at the Seaforth Legion to follow. Private interment at Baird’s Cemetery, Varna.
