Joyce's Magic

Joyce, as part of her name suggests, brough 'joy' to everyone and every situatuion. There was no better person suited than Joyce to greet patients with such warmth and humour. When my girls were quite young they needed to have some tests done at the clinic, however, they were nervous, and told Joyce quite openly that they would not be having any part of her giving them a needle. It was really a bit of a "Mary Poppins" moment because before I knew it she had charmed them with her wonderful smile, kind words and had given them each a treat for their trouble. This was the magic of Joyce - she had a gift for making those around her feel special and valued. It was a privilege and an honour to know Joyce. To her family, may God hold all of you in the palm of his hand.
