David Peter Dale
David passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, on October 8, 1946, David Peter Dale of Seaforth was 69 years old.
David served his community for 32 years with the Seaforth Police Department and the Ontario Provincial Police.
He was the beloved husband of Linda Dale. Loving father of Christine Dale, Andrew Dale (Kerry), Stephanie Dale (Jeff Saunders) and Natalie Dale. Cherished Grandpa of Cassidy, Devin and Kayden Roden, Marissa and Victoria Saunders, Blake and Wyatt Dale, Harper and Monroe Raszmann and Zackary Brown. Missed by step-children, Taunya Brown, William Brown, Jenn Brown (Kevin Raszmann), and his step-mother Carolyn Hunter-Duvar. Dear brother of Joyce Burgess (Geoffrey), Robert Dale (Sharon), Bonnie Janmaat (Luke), Kathy Dale; and brother-in-law of Marie Jaques (John). Loving uncle of Laurie Hamilton (Darryl), Mike Janmaat (Angie), Rob Janmaat (Briana) and Matthew and Amanda Brown. David will also be missed by his other extended family members and many friends.
Predeceased by his parents Ronald Dale (1998) and Lorna (nee Burton) Dale (2002), and his mother-in-law Marilyn Hodgert (2014).
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Thursday, May 12, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate David’s life will take place at Northside United Church, 54 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, on Friday, May 13, 2016, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Seaforth & District Community Centre and interment will take place in the Exeter Public Cemetery.
